How do I set up online payments?
Go to Settings > Integrations > Payments and tap "Set Up Payments". You'll be guided through connecting your Stripe account. Money goes directly to your bank account.
Can my customers pay invoices online?
Yes! Once you've connected Stripe, you can add a payment link to any invoice. Your customers pay by card through a secure Stripe checkout page.
How do I send quotes to customers?
After creating a quote, tap the share button to send it via email or SMS. Your customer receives a link where they can view, accept, or decline the quote online.
Does FieldForge work offline?
Yes. All your data is stored locally on your device. Create quotes, manage jobs, and track customers even without reception. Everything syncs when you're back online.
How do I upgrade my plan?
Go to Account > Subscription to see available plans. Tap the plan you want and you'll be taken to a secure Stripe checkout page to complete payment.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Settings > Account & Data > Delete Account. You'll be asked to type your business name to confirm. After you submit, your account is scheduled for permanent deletion in 30 days — sign-in is disabled immediately, but you can email support@fieldforge.com.au within 30 days to cancel the deletion and recover your account. After 30 days the deletion is permanent and irreversible. Use Settings > Account & Data > Export Data first to download a ZIP of all your records (with photos, receipts, signatures) before requesting deletion.
Can I undo a deletion?
If you archive a customer, quote, invoice, or any other record, it lands in Recently Deleted (Settings > Recently Deleted) with a retention countdown — usually 90 days for business records, 5 years for tax/pool records, 7 years for regulatory records (spray records, compliance documents, chemicals). Tap Restore on the row to bring it back. After the retention window expires the record is permanently removed.
How long is my data kept?
FieldForge uses category-aware retention. Day-to-day business records (customers, properties, quotes, jobs) — 90 days after archive. Tax records (invoices, fuel logs) — 5 years per ATO TR 96/7. Pool service records — 5 years per NSW Public Health Regulation 2022. Regulatory records (spray records, compliance documents, chemicals, credit notes) — 7 years per APVMA / GST / WHS. Settings > Compliance & Retention shows you the per-category counts at any time.
Is my data secure?
Yes. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest using Google Firebase infrastructure. Payment data is handled by Stripe and never touches our servers. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
